just found out that motorcycle insurance doesn't cover personal injury and/or medical expenses for the rider in NYS. It only covers the passenger and/or if you injure someone else.
guess i'll be paying these bills myself...
make sure you have health insurance fellas... i was in the process of researching companies but unfortunately didn't have any at the time of the accident and you know they aren't going to cover pre-existing conditions. it is a good thing the injuries were fairly minor and that i didn't take that expensive taxi ride in an ambulance...

yeah, damn, that sucks! is your ins gonna cover any damage to your bike? oh, and if you already have health insurance, its a good idea to pick up AFLAC (you know, the one with the duck) as supplemental. they cover injuries and shit, and they pay you cash if you visit the ER, take a ride in an ambulance, get an x-ray, go for physical therapy...etc. i have it so when i get hurt at work, it benefits me and my family. one trip to the ER and an x-ray, will pay for my coverage (family) for the year, not to mention how much i get for missing time at work. if you can do it, i recommend.
by the way, hope to see you back on your bike soon sultan!
yeah well the insurance would cover the damage to my bike except there really was none aside from some cosmetic shit on the crash bar and cylinder head protector i installed when i bought the bike but those are less than the deductible so it didn't make any sense to claim it.
i put some new road tires on it. stuck with the metzeler's but i'll be god damned if that shit ain't expensive to have a dealer swap rubbers!
how does that AFLAC work?
how much is your insurance for the year btw? i know it comes out of your check but do you know?
i found some insurance for about $250 a month but it doesn't cover dental. that is the cheapest bestus plan i can find. i never go to the dr. and every once in a while i go to the dentist so basically i'm paying for these types of situations...
