I for one will be bowing out of this weeks installation of grilled cheese nite.
Unlike some people I know who own bikes with very cheap maintenance, I can't afford to dilly dally any longer. Don't get me wrong cause believe it or not, our grilled cheese nites put a bigger grin on my face, mean a lot more to me and have a longer lasting impression than our Sunday outings. But I'm 600 miles away from 15k miles and after this trip to the Adirondacks this weekend (I can't wait, shit's gonna be DOPE!!), I'll be well past due for my service.
Word around town is, is that 15k service on an '07 Duc is about a grand! WHAT?!!! That's more than a year's worth of grilled cheese for the entire crew for a whole year, PLUS milk shakes all around! Needless to say, after this weekend no more riding for me until I collect enough soda bottles. But then I still need to get a new chain and sprockets and oh yeah, new gauges... fuck this shit!
no problem e...i understand completely. i'm gonna need a new tire on the back after this 'rondacks trip...anybody wanna go halfsies on a tire changer?
I am out. Have a pitch on Friday am.... plus going to Miami for the weekend, so need to get some work done for that... ahhhh, the joys of work....
hmmm, i'll be around. maybe we can do something local. nite riding is the move during the heat wave. just got back in from a nice lil' ride.
