Quack! Duc Talk: Drivetrains - Discuss...

So we're both finding ourselves at our Service C and drivetrain. Fun, huh?

A couple of weeks ago I placed an order with Gold Coast for a drivetrain replacement AFAM quick change carrier (http://scalcione.us/listen/QuickChange.jpg), 43t rear, 15t countershaft and a DID VM520 X-Ring (http://scalcione.us/listen/DIDChain) (bling (http://scalcione.us/listen/BilletHub.jpg). heh). Splat... $471.36! Danny in parts was an ass-hat. Was no help at all. But he did murmur a stock drivetrain would "probably" have been more expensive. *rolls eyes*
Anyway, the parts arrived last week and I brought the Duc in this morning for it's service. Good chance I'll have it Sat/Mon.

Fortunately, you don't have it so bad, Eric. A rear sprocket, counter shaft sprocket and chain, should run you about $200. However, Doug my man, an example of things to come. Get your wallet ready. That sultry wench, the single swing arm. Wish I could gate away with this guy. (http://scalcione.us/listen/StealthSprocket.jpg) Pretty hawt. Asian hawt even

i know it costs loot and all, but it does look all blinged out tho'. you Duc guys are a whole 'nother breed.

if anyone's interested, gonna be grillin this sat, everyone's free and welcome to stop by for the backyard bbq. haven't gone shopping yet, but there should be food for herbivores, carnivores and everyone else in between.

call me if you got any questions.

Don't be fooled, Mark. That was a 1098s in the post. The eye catching bling is that $200 billet sprocket hub. I wish I had cash for that. And thanks for the Q invite. Enjoy.

It's not so outrageous considering what field I'm playing ball in. Lance can attest with his BMW. Having to do all 3 service intervals after one year of ownership is outrageous. But I can't cry too much. It's brought me so much joy.

What's the cliche? Ducati: Making mechanics out of riders since 1946.

No doubt, bro. I didn't realise you guys went to the Adirondacks.

Wow, those prices rock! I can't believe the cost of the countershaft sprocket. $15?!
Damn. I gotta know where you shop.
