Ride #3 recap...

Stats -

Crew - WS & el penguin
Door to door distance - 557 miles
Speeding tickets - 2 (1 each)
Can't give any more stats like ride time, average speed and max speed cause I forgot to reset the Zumo before we left.

Today's ride? The best way to describe it would be... a ride for practicing an Iron Butt ride. 90% slab, 6% slow moving clogged back roads, 3% twisties, 1% dirt/gravel road.

I got too ambitious with the route (see what technology will do to you). I thought we'd be able to cross VT twice, dip into MA and cross it twice, dip into CT for twisties home... uuummm no. More like slab to Albany, cross over into VT onto some slow ass tourist roads, climb some bigass mountains, hit twisties with dirt and gravel in every corner and then... what happen to the pavement? Oh right, it stopped. Look mom, I'm riding my Ducati off road now! I know the Andersons would of loved that shit, I would too if I was on the proper kind of bike but on my Duc with bald tires, no. We'll have to the route again just so you freaks can get your off road riding on.
once safely off the dirt and gravel, it was more tourist roads to Brattleboro where we stopped to eat some greaseyass food before we slabbed back home.

All in all I still had fun, shit I was riding right? The scenery was drop dead gorgeous but the riding, not so much. VT has some great twisites but we just didn't have time to hit any of it cause it took too long to get there. Lesson learned, after all it was a scouting mission and all. I'm still planning on going back to hit the 2 roads I wanted to hit but didn't get a chance to...

Oh, and the speeding tickets - BULLSHIT. We were on 87 in the slow lane going 70 something, basically moving the same speed as the cages and we get nailed for doing 80 in a 65. I'm gonna fight it so we'll see what happens. It's the season boys, and we're the prey so be mindful of the po po. Fuckers.

sorry to hear you got tickets... that sucks.

In terms of the ride, at least you were out there putting in some good miles and scoping it out. I am sure we can now all avoid the dirt... or rather undesired dirt...

I am gonna have to ride in my sleep to keep up with you guys. Speaking of... gotta turn in...
