I think we should send E to mechanic school Not only will it be cheaper for everyone involved, but he can then teach us and most importantly we can all be safe out on the road. And what about e's feelings on the matter? Great question.
E will have a new career. We can all invest in opening up a new shop. One that caters to cats with a taste for great service, no hassle or run around, friendly environment and the highest quality. What will such a place be named? SKDMRKS!
Imagine all the clients we could have? All those disgruntle duc owners. All those BMW owners that want only the exclusive treatment...? We could make it so high end that folks will be lining out the door.

Si! that's a bueno idea. i'd be willing to go in with the shop idea...the wife knows i've been wanting to open a bike/moto shop.
I woulda changed my tires myself if I/we had the tools. Between WS & I, I'm sure we can fix anything on a motorcycle, the shit ain't rocket science!
yeah, you'd be surprised (ok, maybe not surprised) just how stupid some moto mechanics are.
I am talking about making it like rocket science... or at least the appearance. A gansta place. Minimal. Exclusive. Ultra elegant and only the best. Work on hot shit, but treat people and the bikes well. Making it so hot, that folks will want to line up to have you work on their shit.
Efficient and reliable. All of this spells loot, but it will be worth it. The school thing is about certification and legitimization for those that doubt and also to get companies on board, specially financing...
I would like to seriously think about this at some point. We have been talking about taking skdmrks to a next level and I think this is worth a gander. The club house is cute, but I am getting too old for cute...

i'm fittin' to open up a business soon, one of many hopefully, i spoke with E about one of my ideas not too long ago...that would fit right into D2's idea. E, don't worry, you won't have to work too hard, in fact you can just work on our joints and train a hand selected group of cats to do things our way or they're out...knawmean?

well, i'll believe it when i see it. you know, you all, most of you anyway, balked when i mentioned collecting funds on a reg basis as a way to start taking things to a higher level, investing in tools, getting more organized, etc. nobody wanted to commit. now you are talking about rocket science and high tech shops and what not. when was the leap made, the big jump? can't figure you cats out.
on a side note, e man, i'm really sorry about what happened at willy's. i feel responsible since i recommended him so highly. really glad you didn't get hurt, and really glad you noticed when you did.
