You don't need to take a course to learn any of that shit my over educated brethen... you learn by doing! The hardest part about laying up carbon is making the mold and or forms to form whatever you're trying to make. Then you lay your carbon & epoxy and choose the right release agent and there you go. OR, you need to figure out an inflatable bladder system to act as your "mold". If I had the space I'da been doing that shit, perhaps at BMW..
As far as welding tig or mig, both are easy to do if your careful but making the beads look good takes some practice but that's all it is.
WS... no dude... i think we all have the same oddities. I need to find someone that can do a digital scan of parts, so that I can mess with them in the good old computer and then have them digitally printed... either to make a mold or whatever. I would like to start with seat cowl and other smaller parts... you know... get some carbon fiberglass joints happening...
E, you are correct... I directed folks there, cause you can take the course, which is a way for them to know that you know... you know? And then they have open studio hours. Hence you can go and make a mess there....
