most of you know by now that all is well with me and that i had an awesome weekend.
i'll post something with flicks and more details later... got shit to do but lets just say it started out with me busting my head open on the door jam of my bathroom on friday because i was rushing to pack, cut my hair, and shower and make it to jersey to get my tires before riding down to the pines....
luckily i didn't need stitches and it was a sign for me to slow the f* down! i just kept thinking, "i hope this isn't a sign of what the weekend will be like." it wasn't...
what is was was scary, challenging, scary about 8 more times, but i learned a lot, my skills definitely got better, but there is soooo much to learn. that is why i love life. throughout the weekend i laid my bike down just once... really, i just sort of stepped off of it and laid it down. i was really tired, mentally and physically, and it was a challenge to stay confident when seemingly everyone else around me in my beginner group were going down left and right.
sand is a bitch, deep sand is a mean ugly ruthless bitch who doesn't like to take no for an answer. riding through deep, wide, and long puddles is dope and makes you feel gangsterer when you make it without putting your foot down or dropping your bike, there were lots of puddles (mini lakes really) some were about 2 to 3' deep. i had water boiling on my valve covers at one point, that was hot.
anyway, all is well. hope to see ya'll soon. glad your ride went well on sunday. i wanted to be there but i was busy getting muddy and then i took a ride to philly to chill with a friend of mine for the night before riding back up here on monday.
oh yeah, check this out... i think i mentioned this to ya'll before. awd bikes!
oh, and here is one flick someone just sent me. dude's name is Gary, a cool cat from Pa. who owns a septic tank cleaning company, ewwww! anyway as i'm walking by him he says... "you push that bike so easily" (he has a '07 adventure) in my mind i say, "thank little baby jesus for wheels brah, cause dis bitch heavy!" but really i say, "it wasn't always that way." i guess i'm just getting more and more comfortable with my bike. more flicks to come

that's awesome you had a great time gettin' dirty. riding offroad is so, different from riding in the twisties, but it's a blast! glad you learned a lot & didn't have to battle with the bike all weekend (only once? that's impressive!). now, get some more pics up.
Sultan... I knew you'd do well. It's all that track bike riding around BK! We coulda used you company on the ride last Sunday but I'm happy you had a great time.
Wait... I just had a thought...
