This ride is going to be of the twisty and scenic sort, but with a lot of straight up crusing. A good way to shake out the cobwebs and ring in the new riding season methinks.

this looks like another epic 400 mile ride! i'm gonna sync my carbs, change my plugs, oil & filter so that my SV is running in top condition. damn...this is gonna be the business.
I just got sore reading that post. All I can hope for is that you take it easy out there. I have some serious cow webs. It is a sunday ride after all.
Sultan! We will miss ya, but alas you will be playing in the mud.
Jinx... holla?! I know it is going to be hard to escape, but you could pull some o' I will be right back! Gonna get milk... honey.
Bullet... what the deal? You gonna show WS how to wear the leather or what?
Just read the other post: PA!!!!????
Damn kid... what about ramping up?! You just gotta go and drop it all at once...?!
yeah, we'll be right across the river from PA for awhile...i don't know if he was planning to cross over or not. still, this is gonna be a long as ride. just remember, we don't all have sargent seats & throttle locks.
hey, i don't wanna get anybody all excited or anything yet, but i may have clearance to go on this trip. and better yet, my new shoes came in the mail the other day, it'd be a nice way to break 'em in. we shall see...
Come homies... this ain't even all that long. For real. Sure there's plenty of twists and turns but... there isn't that many twisties. It's mostly some nice smooth roads with some good scenic value. Again, simply to shake out the cob webs and a chance for everyone (me included) to get used to being on the bike for more than my 15 minute commute.
And yes Alan, we will be crossing over to PA but, only for I'd say 1/5th of the ride.
If everyone's gassed and aired up beforehand, how's a 9am jump off @ Gorilla sound?
word. 9.00am sounds great. let's get this shit going.
it's all too exciting, i'd better write down the route in case i can't keep up, with my lawn mower and all.
Dammit!!! I aint sayin anything either way, but the ride sounds like somthing I need to attend! I told some people I would ride with them on Sunday to NJ for some memorial for a fallen rider but I don't know now...9AM start? I may have to make that happen! If I do, the full leathers will be on...fuck it! I'll let yall know ASAP!
Shadow...you with me?
damn! this sounds like mad fun... i checked in with the event planner for the dirty weekend to see if the roads were all hemmed up down there and she said we should be straight. she's riding down tomorrow to see for herself. and it is mostly sand so the rain won't make a lot of mud, rather hard packed stuff...hmmm
sunday sounds so doperiffic though. and Jinx is going? awww man! bullet, you need to make it happen. i was hoping i would get to witness your first ride with us on the twisties but maybe not.
yo, for real for real...ya'll know i have access to a dope ass crib in pa. so we have to do an over night joint this season. we'll ride up in the afternoon...drink, eat, watch a flick and be merry, catch some zzz's, wake up early and hit up some PA. roads back thru ny state to bk. how's that sound? if ya'll saw the crib, you'd wonder what took us so long to get there... and it is free!!!!
did i mention lake and canoe across the street?
word! bullet, & jinx on the new moto trooptie! this has the billings to be an epic ride...
Ok, so now I'm VERY excited about this ride. The hype about it knows no bounds!!
Jinx... nothing would my cold heart better than having you with us out there! Bullet, same goes for you!
About the ride though, please y'all, let me reiterate; this IS NOT the fast Catskills Clareyville/Peekamoose/30 ride that we all know and love. This ride does has some twisties (Kanawauke & the like ) but it's by no means gonna a fast one. As I said... this ride will mostly be cruising. Why? Because the route dictates it so. We'll be rolling through a lot of back roads and little towns where po po is ever present and I ain't trying to another ticket for real. It's mostly a chance for us to get reacquainted with our perspective sleds and reacquainted with rolling as a group. Oh, and to see some trees and other green shit that we don't have in the hood.
Me being me, I ain't gonna lie, there'll be parts where I'm gonna take off but as you know, IF, and that's a big if, if I drop the group, I always wait.
For those that copied down the route... upon further investigation, I wrote down the route wrong. Mad typos folks, so I'll repost the route a bit later. I know this goes w/o saying now, but I'll be in full gear, I hope to see you all in the same state!
Ok, I fixed the route, it should be correct now.
OH SNAP!!
Eat a big breakfast y'all cause I found the bomb to stop for a late lunch!! Tex Mex, chicken fried staek, bbq, they got the whole 9!!
i tried to plot with w/google maps, but it was taking mad long & it wasn't doing quite right...this is definitely gonna be a long ride...last i heard it's supposed to be in the hi 60s sunday too. YEAH, SON!
gonna go tomorrow morning to willy's and get my new shoes put on! hopefully i can scuff 'em up enough so as not to be slippin and slidin through the twisties. what kind of gear is everyone bringing? maps, bags, gps, tools...i think i'll be bringing some hand tools, maybe a small metric ratchet. hopefully my tankbag will come in the mail by sat.
i won't have hardly any room for stuff since my power ranger gear get-up has little to no pocket room. i will be bringing my tool kit though...
As far as tools go... I'll only have what can fit under my seat; allen keys, flat fix, and cigarettes.
Like WS said, the Power Ranger outfit can carry my paperwork and that's about it.
Oh, we might have another rider too! My boy Keith is picking up his new bike on Saturday and will most likely come on Sunday to break in the new sled. This is what he got!
wow, that's just sick! we are gonna have a good time! glad you figured in some places to eat, 'cause you know how i do, baby!
we're gonna roll true club style! this is gonna be crazy!
the paul smart is hot. i even kinda fit on it...a little.
yo, have fun and watch out for surprises in the road due to all that damn water that was dumped on us.
Marc, you gonna have Willie tune your joint up or check it out for you?
what kind of shoes did you cop?
i should have some semi knobbies when i get back so we can go play in the dirt.
i'm a little jealous that i won't be riding with ya'll on sunday but it is probably good i'm not here because the "prince vs mj" party is saturday night and ya'll are leaving early sunday so i'd be struggling because i'd want to do both...
