Just got this back protector and I've been wearing it for all the little short rides I been doing. Nothing exciting, just errands. It level B2 rated as far as protection (the highest rating so far) and it's so comfortable I don't even notice it's there once I'm on the bike. This is branded "Joe Rocket" but it's the same as the Forcefield one and it is the back prtotector which all other are judged. Check the review here.
It's fairly cheap too compared to a spinal chord injury or worse, being paralyzed. It'll part of my daily outfit now. You all should really think about getting one.

not bad looking and probably some nice piece of mind. well, got my battery off charge, cleaned up the plugs, and with a few ozs of sea foam in the tank, my ride is as right as rain, which there is some of in the overnight forecast, or else i'd be taking her out for a night spin. getting taxes done tomorrow.
Not if you are coming to my house to run... it is raining outside...
"getting taxes done tomorrow"
ALL DAY?!
damn son...
nah, just kidding.
yo E, do you wear the back protector even when wearing your jackets with the back armor in it? or do you take them out? just curious

Good question. When I was looking for a back protector I wanted one with a hard shell cause those highway guardrails ain't pillows but from all the research I did, nothing stacked up to the one I got. My jacket still has the Dainese hard shell in it so I guess I wear both. The Joe Rocket protector is so thin it doesn't make a difference whether there's one in the jacket already or not.
Mark - glad your up and running again.
wow, if it is that thin, i gotta peep it.
marc, glad the home remedies did the trick. has it stopped raining yet?
