3 Things

1. I gotta admit, I'm a little disappointed Rossi didn't win it. On the upside, Ducati's new Desmosedici "GP7" is a FUCKING BEAST. 20mph faster than all other GP bikes on the straights, the main reason why Stoner won me thinks. He pulled past and away from Rossi on all the straights, too bad he didn't crash like he normally does, oh well.

2. WS, D2 & I had a great ride today. A tad cold, but it felt GOOD to be out on the bike and finally outta the city, 4 & 5 gear, WHAT?! There thankfully wasn't hardly any drama as per the usual SKDMRKS ride, apart from Ws's bike acting up just a tiny bit.

What I do have to say about today's ride is this - As we're about to embark on the new riding season, I just wanted to say that the group dynamic of riding together is great. I watch the rider behind me, they watch the rider behind them and so on, without having to ask to do that. Slab speeds and behavior were nice and tame which made for a stress free ride especially from my perspective up front.
I also appreciated D2's and or WS's proactive "leading from the back". Meaning, I loved the way you guys were able to anticipate my lanes changes and actually change lanes before I had a chance to. It made for very easy riding seeing you guys already in the intended lane as I was making my lane change. We had great flow today and that's what put the biggest smile on my face, so thanks y'all. Looking forward to a whole new season of this!!
At this point, the only comment I have about us riding together is that we need to agree upon a standard of bike to bike communication while on the road; hand signals, indicater lights, etc. I know when I roll with just D2, we pretty much have it down, same as Sultan & D2, but I don't think we all have it down just yet, myself included, so on our next get together, let's work it out... which brings me to my final point...

3. Can we agree on Friday March 16th for movie nite at The Sultan's? I know Marc is free (hence the date), but I wanna nail it down already.

word. today's ride was a much need exodus from the city. good to see some open road & some twisties. i agree that some sort of "semi-standardized" signals would be a good thing on our rides. i can't really think of anything in particular, but some standardization would be good.

oh, i told you guys about the ducs speed! damn that bike just blew past rossi every time he got in front. yamaha needs to step up the straight line speed. and wtf happened to hayden? seriously, 8th place while turdrosa got 3rd? makes you think.

lastly, i'm gonna be replacing my regulator/rectifier tomorrow, so no bike wash for me. apparently these bikes are notorious for burning them up & the previous owner gave me a spare when i bought it, so thankfully i'm prepared.

lastly, lastly, the 16th works for me.

the 16th works for me... but as a single man... what is up with a friday...? I know you guys don't need to worry about getting some, but come on....? I need all the help I can get...

as for the hand signs... I think Alan now knows the hand sign for peeing...
